Blazing White

So today I went and did a small photoshoot with my sisters so we can give some photographs to my mum in an album or a frame for her birthday on Saturday. Therefore I wanted to wear something nice but casual at the same time so I settled for this.

I went for a black bodysuit which is underneath the blazer and is one of the best basics I've ever bought, I wear it so often! Also I wore my black high waisted jeans that I always wear. I'm sorry fashion police but they just go with EVERYTHING!
The sandals are my new favourite shoes. I'm not normally a big shoe person, they don't really fuss me if they go with your outfit then perfect, that's it! These sandals though are so comfy and flattering and I will definitely be taking them for walking around Venice next week!
I added the black clutch which I bought years ago but it still goes with most outfit due to it being black.

The cream/off white blazer is the main item that makes this outfit, it's what adds a smart edge to a fairly casual outfit. I first wore this on my 18th birthday and it's the perfect cover up.

Blazer: H&M
Bodysuit: Missguided
Jeans: Topshop

Fashion Show

From reading previous posts from June you may know that on my birthday I took part in a college fashion show. It was a massive stress and backstage was full of people panicking but in the end it was one of the best evenings ever.

We spent all day setting up the catwalk, background and chairs. We had several run throughs of everyone's outfits and with this came stress and a few disasters but it was all solved and turned out so well in the actual show. After run throughs we had a few hours for hair and makeup and it was safe to say everyone looked incredible.

Then came the show and we were all nervous as this is something us but mainly the second year students had been planning for months and it all came down to this moment. The show was amazing, the atmosphere, the lights, everything was spot on. Adrenaline kicked in and we all just had to go for it.

The photos aren't the best as we haven't had the official ones back yet but when and if I get hold of them, I will definitely post them.

Modelling a friend's top

60s shift dress we had made in our first ever project.

Here are photos of a segment called Sculpted. On the left is my friend Lissy wearing a dress I made and on the right is me modelling a friend's dress and accessories.

These two photos are of a second years festival inspired designs that we wore. (Me on the left)

It was such a fun experience and I cannot wait until it's me modelling my final collection next year!

Birthday Shenanigans

Anyone want a ride in my Porsche?

Following my previous blog post, I just wanted to share a small selection of the photos (there are over 350 altogether!) from my garden party on Saturday. There were garden games, fairy lights, lanterns, happy faces, an amazing birthday cake, happy tears, amazing people, presents and LOTS of food. It was an amazing day and I want to thank everyone for travelling from far away and coming. Thank you for your presence and for the cards and presents I received. I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life. I'm going to leave now before it gets soppy (haha).

18th Birthday Outfit

I'm 18 at last and I've now entered the world of adulthood!
On Friday it was my 18th birthday but I was busy all day modelling in a fashion show so I decided that I would have a big birthday celebration on the Saturday, 7th June. It was a garden party and I had about 80+ people there including family and friends.
Seeing as it was my 18th and you only turn 18 once, I decided to go out and buy a whole new outfit (such a good feeling!). It was perfect for the day and the weather as the dress was light and 'airy' for the warm day but as the evening arrived the white blazer was just enough to cover me and keep me that bit warmer.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate my 18th!

Necklace: H&M  - £9.00
