Loving Pinterest Again

I signed up to Pinterest ages ago but I never really got into it as I'm far too dedicated (and in love with) Tumblr. Recently though I was encouraged to use it at college to create a few fashion boards and therefore I finally got into it.

Therefore I thought I would just share this months inspiration along with my Pinterest. Sorry this post is a short one.

If you know me, you'll know I love monochrome. Can you tell?

Mother's Day Gift Guide (on a budget)

Mother's Day is now officially a week away and I am still in the browsing process of choosing a gift for my mother. I have found many beautiful little gifts and decided to share just a few with you in the form of a guide.
'Honey Blossom' - Yankee Candle - £12.75 was £16.99
The first gift on my guide is a Yankee Candle. What mother doesn't like a candle and especially a Yankee one? They are the best smelling candles on the market and even though sometimes they can seem a little pricey for 'just a candle', they can really make a massive different to the feel of your home and they do in fact last a very long time. I once had a winter scented Yankee and it lasted all of the autumn and winter season.
As we are now most definitely into spring and the beautiful blossom is out in full force, I thought 'Honey Blossom' would be the best scent to choose. I have had 'Honey Blossom' in the past and I have to say it is the most incredible scent and will make the house smell like spring has arrived. Yankee describe the scent as 'The beautiful blend of flower nectar, honey musk, freesia and woods makes this both full and delicate.'
Rose Garden, Pink Enamel charm - Pandora - £45.00
Pandora is always a typical gift for any female but I decided to look anyway and came across their Mother's Day collection. They only had around 5 items but this one here is my favourite. A light pink rose charm made from enamel and sterling silver. It is really beautiful and I know that personally my own mother would adore it. I think any mother would like this charm and so it would be suitable for any age range as I can picture my grandmothers both wearing it also. It is on the slightly more pricey side for what it is but then again, it is sterling silver and absolute quality.
'Oriental' perfume - Zara - Prices vary
Mothers love perfume and so when my mum picked this up the other day I wasn't surprised but I have never thought about buying a perfume from Zara before. It smells so lovely, it has a fruity hint to it and think this makes it quite different from other perfumes around at the moment. All of the perfume smell lovely and the packing and bottles are all very classy. Prices vary between each of the perfumes so I would suggest going into the store to pick them up and also to do the much needed smell test. Even if you aren't buying, going in to smell them is a experience by itself! This is the gift I will be getting my mother this Mother's Day.
What are you getting your mother this Mother's Day?

The Perfect Bikini

Ever since the weather has gradually (and finally) started to improve, all I've been thinking about is summer. This summer I am going on a Mediterranean Cruise which includes visiting some amazing places that I never thought I would get to visit, such as Santorini and Mykonos. This all got me thinking, I NEED the perfect summer bikini! Therefore I decided to be prepared (a bit too prepared maybe?) and began the task of hunting for the perfect bikini. These are my top 3 favourites:

Blue Tiger Stamp High Waisted Bikini - £28.00 - River Island
I think this bikini is stunning as it not only has an amazing print but also the right amount of colour for what I would ideally look for in a bikini. I'm also a massive fan of the high waisted bikini with the cupped bustier top. It reminds me of the swimwear worn in the 1950s which for me personally makes me think it is a classic but still a stylish choice to be seen in as well as very flattering on many shapes and may give someone with a slimmer frame, the appearance of curves.

Lucia Bandeau Bikini In White - £17.99 - Miss Guided
If you have a triangular shaped body meaning the lower half of your body is heavier than the rest of your body e.g. larger hips and thighs then the bandeau bikini is a perfect choice to suit and flatter your body type. The bottoms on this bikini are higher than the average bikini bottom which means it flatters large hips as it detracts from the size of the hip and makes the eye concentrate on the stomach. The bandeau style bikini top is a great choice for those with a smaller bust. I also think that a white bikini is as 'summery' as you can get. It is bright, light and shows off your golden brown tan as it contrasts with your skin.

Black Longline High Waisted Bikini - £25.00 - Topshop
This bikini is my favourite of them all. To you it might seem like the most boring out of the 3 but I absolutely love it. Again it is high waisted, my favourite style of bikini. This type of bikini is so flattering on so many women and is an illusion for most body types. For slimmer frames, it creates curve, giving the illusion of a larger bust and hips where as for larger frames, it hides any problem areas on the lower stomach as well as providing a secure bikini top so the woman wearing it would feel comfortable in it without having to worry. Black is also a slimming and chic colour. There is plenty more I could say on this bikini but I would begin to bore you (if I haven't already) but you can see why this is my favourite out of the 3.
